Joyce Duarte is Senior Vice President, Southeast Regional Executive for Allied World, a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions, and a Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited subsidiary.  With over two decades of insurance career experience, Joyce leads a team of professionals in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee, responsible for Casualty, Property, and Professional Lines production, key client and broker relationships, employee engagement, and geographic growth throughout the Southeast Region of the United States. She is a member of the company’s Global D&I Taskforce and is a strong advocate for community support. Joyce is a Certified Executive Coach and Mentor.  

Previously, Joyce worked as the Vice President, Bermuda Professional Lines Branch Manager in the Allied World Bermuda office for 13 years, managing and underwriting a diverse portfolio of coverages including EPL, D&O, Wage & Hour, Fiduciary, E&O, and Cyber Liability. 

Prior to joining Allied World in 2002, Joyce was with XL Capital Bermuda (now AxaXL) where she worked in the Professional Lines Division, and with O.I.L. Insurance in the Property Division.  As a Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies (BFIS) scholar, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Insurance and Finance, from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 24 years, has an amazingly talented teenaged daughter, and two well-loved dogs.
